Dining Room to Home Office Conversion
Our client needed a private space to work that tied into the detail and character of their home.
We transformed a former dining room into a private office while preserving the home’s trim and character. Three sliding barn doors provide privacy without needing swing space and new wainscoting complements the existing woodwork.
Making those additions feel at home required careful attention to detail. The molding profiles, proportions, and placement needed to work with the existing trim, with particular care paid to where new pieces met original woodwork. Those connections make all the difference.
The result is a private office that serves a new purpose while retaining the home's familiar character—a thoughtful transformation where the new details feel like they have always belonged.
