Front Porch Rebuild
1920s porch brought back to life with careful craftsmanship, creating a welcoming entrance for years to come.

The porch on this 1929 home had been worked on by many people over the years, but water damage continued to cause deterioration. Giving it a fresh start meant taking it apart and rebuilding from the structure up.
We demolished the entire porch down to the band joist that supports the home. From there, we carefully installed new joists to give the finished floor the proper pitch to shed water—a critical detail in addressing the problem that had worn the porch down.
Next came new 3¼-inch floorboards, primed underneath and along their sides before installation to help protect the wood against moisture. With the foundation and flooring addressed, we reinstalled the columns to support the roof and preserve the porch’s familiar character.
Each step focused on bringing this porch back to life with careful craftsmanship and respect for the home’s history, creating a welcoming entrance for years to come.
